#GivingTuesday
Giving Tuesday has become a global phenomenon. But what does it actually mean for the American Legion Auxiliary Foundation? What does it really do for our veterans, military, and their families?
Without the support of our donors, Giving Tuesday would be just like any other day. But with the generosity of people who believe in our mission, #GivingTuesday becomes the most successful annual campaign for the American Legion Auxiliary Foundation.
The funds raised each #GivingTuesday are used to support programs for veterans across the United States. Your gift could help provide new technology to help veterans with dementia, support future leaders through ALA Girls State, or give veterans access to health care and community functions via a 12-passenger van for their residence center.
At the ALA, we start #GivingTuesday early. Though it takes place this year on Dec. 3rd, we start celebrating with a booth at our National Convention. That’s because spreading the word about #GivingTuesday is the best thing you can do to, second only to giving.
That’s why this year, we hope you will share with us and your friends why you give to the ALA for #GivingTuesday or any other time during the year. With just a few steps, you can give and grab the attention of one, two, or maybe a hundred potential donors.

Thank you for contributing to the American Legion Auxiliary.
In the spirit of Service, Not Self, the mission of the American Legion Auxiliary is to support The American Legion and to honor the sacrifice of those who serve by enhancing the lives of our veterans, military, and their families, both at home and abroad. For God and Country, we advocate for veterans, educate our citizens, mentor youth, and promote patriotism, good citizenship, peace and security.
