Welcoming a new ALA Foundation board member

The American Legion Auxiliary Foundation is excited to announce the addition of a new board member to its board of directors. Her unique background and experience promise to bring invaluable insights to our organization.

Shawnika Hunt is a dynamic professional with a rich history of leadership and advocacy. A 1995 alumna of ALA Hoosier Girls State, she has continually demonstrated her commitment to community engagement. Her roles as the 2022 ALA Keystone Girls State mentor and ALA 2023 Keystone Girls State director, underscore her dedication to empowering the next generation of leaders.

With over two decades of expertise in sales, Hunt has left a lasting impact on renowned companies like Yellow Freight. Additionally, her entrepreneurial spirit shines through her founding of The Haley Group Enterprises.

Hunt’s academic background includes degrees in business management from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and occupational leadership and supervision. Committed to making a difference, she has served on various boards, including Indiana Black Expo and the Glimmer of Hope Foundation.

Hunt’s experience and perspectives will help the ALA Foundation’s Board of Directors navigate any challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Her contributions will play a key role in shaping the ALA Foundation’s success.
