  • Department Chair Narrative Report due to National Committee: May 15.
  • Unit Award: Most Outstanding Unit Legislative Program (per division) — submitted by 5 p.m. ET on June 1.
  • Department Award: Best Department Legislative Program (per division) — submitted by 5 p.m. ET on June 1.

Purpose: The purpose of the Legislative Committee is to provide information and assistance to American Legion Auxiliary members to advocate for the legislative agenda of The American Legion. Standing Rule #5, National Committees – Mission Outreach

This group is for anyone interested in The American Legion Legislative position on issues affecting our veterans, our military, and their families. It serves as an informational group that will also allow personal, non partisan, comments that are supportive to issues and members of the group. It may include legislative bulletins on the department, division, or national level. It will include urgent action requests if a need is indicated by the American Legion.
